During The Good Citizen Project, produced by Caroline Haebig, students explore the psychological factors that shape political behavior. Through much academic research, writing and interviewing students made connections to how these psychological factors and political behaviors have made an impact in society and deep within their own community.
Haebig’s students interviewed political scientists, researchers and professors from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Students connected with leaders in their community to further examine what motivates these individuals to create positive change.
The culmination of this project resulted in a student created documentary. Students worked hard to educate their community and involve the talents of other students and professionals within the community by hosting The Good Citizen Film Premiere, at the University of Wisconsin Parkside Union Cinema. Over 200 people turned out to celebrate the student learning and share their personal learning and reflections.
